    Lazy boy??

Last year I had a male bumble bee go to town with no problems. He knew what to do his first round and I ended up with a 8 egg clutch. This year the same male and female are together and the male is just laying there. He is eating well, the low side temps are about 78-82 high is 85-90. He has been put with 2 different females and he acts the same. Each female always lays ontop of him and squishes him in a corner.. lol!! he is 800 grams now and 1 female is 1100 and the other is 1800. Any idea's or am I just getting frustrated way to early?? It's been 3 weeks of chilln' with the girls.

    Re: Lazy boy??

It's a long season that just started, I have several males doing that here too, but have also had a few lock ups with other males.
I have two males that are between 600 and 700 grams and neither has done much even though their girls have scented up the tubs each time I placed them in the girls tubs.

This hobby will teach a person patience or show them how little patience they possess
    Good luck with your season

I just introduced the males into the females tubs and the male are just cruising around exploring, like the females aren't even there. But thats common I guess!
