I recently put up a new site .. it's almost finished...I just am looking for some ideas on what i can do to spruce it up.. It's in it's beginning stages so any critique would be great.. the site is in my signature. tell me what you think...be sure to check all the liks.. the about link is down at the moment but will be up later...

I really like it, I like the colors, how the text really stands out on the black back ground. I think the only think you could change is the pictures, most people like to see pictures of the snakes on white or black back grounds. And just to stand out from the rest, if you could put a boa around your heading "TRU-BOAZ.COM" I think would look real nice. Other than that, I think you are good to go!

thanks for the suggestion about the pics and the header... i think I'll use those ideas.... and as for updates keep checking the site..i'll be adding things to it regularly and if you think of anything to add send me a message about it,.... I'm still open for ideas tho!

Take no offense to anything I say about website design. I am not a designer, I am a developer.

I really don't like the colors. I am no good with color schemes but if a customer came to me with bright yellow and red on top of black, I would advise them to change it.

Forums are tough to start bro (getting traffic), there are many other great resources to leverage. If you want something interactive, donate here to have a dedicated forum. Trust me.

I like that you're taking on the project yourself, I like websites with personal touches. Not just out of the box solutions. There are many free and easy to use website templates you can find online just to get a good color scheme and flow going. Here's a good start if you're interested: http://www.oswd.org/

Future tip, always have your links going somewhere. Even if it's just a basic "Content coming soon" page. People don't like to see things broken, leaves a bad impression.

The colors blinded me a bit... I would keep the red and yellow, but maybe tone it down a little. I agree about the pictures too, it's easier to really see what you're looking at when the picture are taken in a light box. Over all it looks pretty good!

AWESOME suggestions everyone. i'm taking notice of them and taking what i can use... Thanks for the tips!! keep'em coming... I like the idea of donating to get a dedicated forum here that's an idea i hadn't thought of. Yeah i am building it myself so the3re are still some bugs i'm working on.. and i'll also try to get my boas to sit for a pic in the light box lol

cool... I'll work on the header later... maybe come up with a snazzy design lol then it's off to build a light box!!! for better pics that is if i can get the lil boogers to stay still...
