Was the spider eating f/t before getting shipped to you?? also the beginning of Oct was just over a week ago and you've already tried to feed..

    Tips?

1: leave him alone for a few days even till next week before you try to feed him again
2: offer what ever the breeder was prior to shipping him
3: offer a hide if he doesn't have one..

Have you tried to feed him live food? That is all my BPs want, and I have had a few that flat out refuse F/T.

I know you wrote that's he's in the same type of setup as your female that's eating. but what size is the enclosure, if the enclosure is too large, it will stress him. the enclosure might be stressing the female also, but not enough to throw her off feed. I would also offer live until you're sure he's feeding then do the switch after a few feedings.

I'm in the same boat with my new boy. I got him October 2 and he took one meal for after a week, but he seems to be fasting now

    Re: Having troubles with feeding

Find out from the seller what he was feeding on.

I have a Mojave that was feeding on live mouse hoppers and was able to immediately switch him to F/T mouse hoppers for 2 feedings. Then after that, i got him to accept a F/T rat pup, but for 3 weeks after that, he refused to eat another one. The moment i went back to F/T mouse hoppers, he grabbed them right away.

So... your BP probably has a preference. You just gotta find out what it is from the seller. If you need to switch to something else, you can always try that later.
