Low Humidity
My 3 Month old normal BP has been sitting in 40% humidity for 3 days now and sometimes the humidity even drops to 36% will he be ok for another 3 days? because I cant keep up the humidity in this glass tank so the breeder I bought my snake off of is bringing over a tub enclosure and helping me set up a new healthy enviroment for him but he wont be here till the weekend.
Thanks.

cover about 3/4 of the screen top with a damp towel. that worked wonders for me when mine was still in a glass tank

I did that and it only keeps it at a minimum 39-40% and a max of 47%

Re: Low Humidity
You can also mist the tank a little bit. You will be fine as long as the substrate isn't soaking wet.

You must have a faulty hygrometer. I use the towel method and always get between 75-80% humidity. You have to remember to re-wet it every day.

I have a tempminder that records the inside of his hide and the outside tank the highest it has got with the damp towel trick is 50 but it stayed there for like 5 mins than lowered to 47 for the rest of the time.
my hygrometer is not faulty my house is just very cold and dry so its hard to keep the humidity up.

I'm only using newspaper right now but once I get him in a tub I will be using either cypress mulch or coco husks.
My water bowl is about 6 inches long, 5 inches wide, and half an inch deep.

The snake will be fine, I notice that BPs are better than other snakes at drinking more water when they need it. Just make sure it's clean. You could also stick a damp (not drenched) glob of paper towel or a rag in there.
