Baby BRB question

I have a very young BRB. She hides all the time, to the point where she will only eat if I put her food in the hide with her. Last weekend she refused to eat because I left the food several inches away (this week she ate because the food was right in the hide) She has never struck at food, preferring to be left alone with the (F/T) prey.
Is this normal? Seems much shyer than I was expecting but perhaps it's a baby thing?

The setup is a shoebox tub, swimming-sized water dish at one end and a tight hide on the other. A couple of inches of cypress mulch as a substrate which she does burrow into if the hide is removed for more than a minute.

Temp 78 Humidity 96%+ perfect sheds and poops. I've had her I think a little over a month.

Could just be a baby thing, as long as she's eating I wouldn't worry about it, I have an adult BP who was that way with f/t when I got her (food had to be right at entrance of hide), Diva in training

My little Caulker Cay was about the same way when I first got him. He wouldn't come out of his hide to eat. I had to place the F/T at or just inside the entrance to his hide before he would take it. He was on rat pinks so I decided to try live prey since it worked for me once before with a little Peruvian boa with the same issue. The first time, I placed it about 4 inches in front of his hide and after about 5 minutes he came out and took it. I did this for about 3 weeks, then tried another F/T, except this time I stood at the end of his tub behind his hide and zombie danced the prey about 3-4 inches in front of his hide with the tongs and he finally came out and took it. For the next few weeks I just alternated between live and F/T and each time I placed it a little farther away from his hide so he had to come out a little more each time. I also made sure to feed him last so he would be well pre-scented from heating up the rats for the others. Once he got to where he would come out regularly I just quit feeding live...
