ok well I decided that im going to keep my females and invest in a high quality 2010 clutch when i get my rack the beginning of dec. any suggestions for my pastel collection, I have 2 pastel females one male pastel ghost and a normal female. I was leaning towards a male bee. but what are my options thats what im interested in. I have a good amount of money i can afford to buy a clown, pie etc a higher end morph but dont know exactly waht direction to go with. any input would be appreciated

This is strictly my opinion but I would invest in some nice recessives and recessive combos as you mentioned above

Or a Yellow Belly, your females are really nice and breeding them to a YB would produce some nice YB Pastels.

    Re: Female pastel questions

Just my thoughts... you just said you have a male pastel ghost..... and you just said you had a decent amount of money to invest..... Think about a female honey bee....or another ghost combo... hypo butter or if you could come across it a hypo fire....make hypo fireflies..... or just simply a few ghost females. Im willing to bet im not alone here when i say ghost combos are sick

I have some 06 females that turned off feed for no real reason at 600 and again at 1000g and are just this season going to be big enough to breed. Just an FYI for you. But I would keep the pastel female for sure no matter if it takes them 2yrs or 4 to get big enough it will be worth the wait.

awesome ya i plan on keeping them for sure now especially thanks to this thread... lol. but i am new with genetics. and would appreciate any in depth analyzes. i really like clowns an pies but dont know if thats strayin away from my goal i would like to create an impressive line if that makes sense dont kknow if clowns or pies would do that for me. . . i like the idea of ghost combos but RICH at ball boutique said he is onlyy a possible het ghot pastel but everyone who sees him says he is for sure a hypo ghost is RICH An idiot or what i dunno especailly since he doesnt wanna answer my questions hahaha.

You can't send the guy a bunch of emails and expect him to keep getting back! He told you what he thinks and now you should post pics so we can see it and give you some input. If he thought for sure that it was a hypo pastel then he would have sold it as one and priced it accordingly. A guy that breeds Hypos should have a pretty good idea of what they look like!

I totally agree. and Im not trying to bad mouth him at all he gave me an amazing deal and I have spread the word about him and his company. SEE YA TO ANSWER YOUR POST DIRECTLY AND WHICH STIRS MY CONCERN is the simple fact that he described my snake as a pssible 66% het green ghost pastel. does that make sense at all? my understanding is that hypo and het are competley different. . . and that description wouldnt make sense. and how do u know i sent him a BUNCH OF EMAILS!!! Lol?
