My 1st genetics question....
Okay, so I will he for sure adding 2 more snakes to my current collection of 4. A albino ball and pastel, simply due to the fact the are my favorite morph.
My question what all could I get from the 2 if I bred them together? Sorry for such a new question. It won't be for about 2 yrs b4 I breed, still need to study up and learn, I was just wondering what the different morph could be.
Thanks, dereck.

Re: My 1st genetics question....
well everything will be het for albino that's a good thing and there a 50% chance for each egg to have the pastel gene also. so you can get pastels het for albino and normals het for albino. http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/ this is a great link to show you what you can get when breeding ball python morphs.

Re: My 1st genetics question....
Albino x pastel = normals, normal het albino, pastels, pastels het albinos
Its not untill you get the pastel het albino that you start getting sum cool stuff.
Pastel het albino x albino = pastel albino's, albino's, normals and normal hets, pastels or pastel hets.
If anything I would start with an albino female
hope I help'd

Thank you all. I am excited to get this started! Is it bad if I have a male albino?

I also wanted to add that I would just be breeding for the fun of it, I would sell what I got besides a few, I'm not looking to do it for a career, just maybe a lil extra cash and fun... how much would an albino pastel go for?

2 years or so down the road is almost impossible to guesstimate what market value you would be.

Re: My 1st genetics question....
Hi,
If you get a female albino and a male pastel you will be able to breed a pastel albino quicker as you would not have to wait as long for a male pastel het albino to get to breeding size as you would for a female pastel het albino.
It has to be said albino pastel doesn't look all that much different to normal albinos to me.
