it is common, sometimes it takes them a little bit to get back into the normal swing of things....did you take her out of the tub she laid in? I always swap out to a clean/sanitary tub as soon as I remove the eggs and give them at least a week before I offer food. Keep offering her meals as normal and eventually her feed response will kick back in .

Remove the female from the tub and rinse it thoroughly...might want to rinse her off good too! If she can smell the eggs, she may not eat.

    Re: any same case?

I had a female lay 2 1/2 months ago and she has only just started back eating again, sometimes they do this. Other females have eaten they same day they laid. But like the others said make sure she is in a clean tub and she has had a bath

It's not unheard off for females not to eat until after their eggs have hatched, even if they are hatched in an incubator rather than by the mother. All you can really do is be patient and keep trying her weekly. Maybe even offer her something slightly smaller as prey than she would have taken before. But I am sure she will eat when she is ready

    Re: any same case?

Did you wash her and clean the entire enclosure to remove the scent of her eggs soon after she laid?

Some females will resume feeding right after laying some however will take longer, 2 months in not unheard of.

The bottom line is that she is an adult, knows how to eat and if her husbandry is optimal the only thing you can do is wait it out.

One thing you might want to do is to try to offer a smaller prey than usual, small rat about 50 grams, might make food re-introduction a little easier.

    Re: any same case?

Like others said, try a smaller meal. Remember she has lost weight and energy producing/laying those eggs. So she needs something she can over power easily.

I have not had this problem (knock on wood), the 4 females that laid for me I:

    1. removed momma from eggs & placed her in a tub of tepid water with a couple drops of
    dish detergent to soak.
    2. set up eggs & put them in bator.
    3. clean tub, wipe out rack slot with bleach & water solution & let air out for about 30 minutes.
    4. put momma in clean tub & put back in rack.
    4. offer 50-60g rat.

Every girl took their rat immediately.
