Your not going to be able to tell at all untill your breed them. It's impossible to determine by markers if they are Hets. I would just hold off and wait, no reason to have a bunch of people on here tell you they ARE markers, then when you breed them out and get disappointing, then you'll be angry at us!

Cheers..I'm aware that you cant def tell until you prove them out, just that it seems odd that their are two different patterns & markings in the clutch, Mark Mandic sent me pics of his het pied axanthics showing a huge difference in colour as they grow..thats the only difference he noticed..Thanks again..no harm in asking

Yeah definitely no harm, i will have to say though both have a ton of blushing on the head, which is definitely something different. Also it seems as if the first one has tons of blushing on his body. You might start something if the hets after this have the same markings!!

Thanks for sharing the pictures; I am also thinking about starting the Axn Pied project, so do you get one Axn and breed to a Pied frist?

You breed pied & axanthic..then breed the sibling together..its a 1/16 chance

The pied het axanthic has that much of a color difference? That's insane!
Are there het axanthic markers? I'm aware of het pied markers, but not axanthic.

I forget, did Mr. Mandic narrow down which axanthic line he had in his pied project?
I've got a possible double het vpi axanthic pied male with good pied markers. Now I'm going to have to start watching his color.
