    Reds & Blacks

Do Reds and Blacks get darker with age?
I always see very light colored hatchlings that seem to misrepresent the name. Yet, occasionally I'll see nice and dark reds and blacks that are adults. I'm a blood python newbie.
    Thanks!
I'll push American, before I'll drive foreign.

Don't argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Depending on the "quality" of the animal, black bloods should get darker with age. As for reds...they seem to be a bit variable. They definitely get redder with age. Some really POP, others not so much, some go deep red, others light red...it really all depends on the parents and selective breeding!
