    Pondering my Pastel's shedding habits

I have one Pastel, a female. When she has just shed, she is a very bright yellow with minimal browning on her.
When she is approaching shedding time she immerses herself totally in water for a week or so. I provide her with a water bowl big enough to do this. None of my other snakes soak.
She also is the color of a banana that is ready to make banana bread out of by the time that she sheds. None of my other snakes display such a contrast between pre shed and post shed.
I was just pondering this and wondered if anyone had any comments, opinions or theories concerning shedding or Pastels in particular shedding.

Re: Pondering my Pastel's shedding habits

It's pretty typical of pastels to be ugly ducklings while in shed, the ones I had and the ones I still have go through dramatic changes pre and post shed so nothing abnormal there.

Now the soaking I guess it depends on the individual none of my BP do or attempt to while in shed (not like they could their dish is too small ), but my hondos and Carpets do all the time.
