That was very well written. And I agree. Animal Planet (and quite a few other networks) really inhale deeply lately. My sister and I were actually discussing the Animal Planet the other day because of some show (The Haunted) which, basically, has absolutely NOTHING to do with animals whatsoever. The show CLAIMS to be about these people and their pets being haunted...It is basically like any ghost show on SYFY (unrelated, but I must add that I HATE that they have changed the spelling). Every so often they just toss something in like "The dog growled" or "the cat looked up suddenly", or close up on a cat's face as a way to, in my opinion, be able to say "See? We included the animals!". It's ridiculous. They need to bring back the shows that my friends and I grew up with. Like Jeff Corwin and the late Steve Irwin. There was no reason to change it. I mean, yes, what nickdolin says is true. Those things do GENERALLY get more ratings. But I seriously doubt that their ratings were suffering before they changed the formula, so to speak. If ANYTHING it is a wonder that anyone is watching now with the garbage that they are pumping out.
Also, because of the new show Fatal Attractions, my grandmother is convinced that I will get killed if I have a ball python. CLEARLY the information being given on that show is not specific enough. She is under the impression that ALL pythons are super-huge-man-eating-monsters-from-hell, and nothing that i say can convince her otherwise.![]()
