    hogg island boa?

    so im a bp guy.. but ive been looking into boas and i came across hogg island boas..
    i would get an red tail, but they just get too big. and i heard hoggs stay like 5 ft or so.
    can u guys show me some pics of your own? and some info? thanks

    They won't get as big as Columbians but 5-6 feet is still pretty sizeable. Males don't get as big as females, as is generally true with all RTBs. They will generally be more expensive than Columbians—probably more than $100, as opposed about $50 for a baby Columbian.

    Yeah, look in the other thread on here.

    Males tend to stay around 5-6 ft, mine is a bit over 6 though.
    Females can get a bit larger.

    Males get 5-6 feet, but females easily hit 7.


    I'd try a different kind, like a Sonoran or Nic boa. Here's a recent thread I made for such a purpose.

    There are quite a few boas that stay under five feet. They are coined "dwarf boas". I have Nicaraguan and Sabogae "Pearl Islands" boas. Both stay under five feet as adults.

    My Costa Rican and Caulker Cay will be in the 5-6 foot range...
