novice, need breeding help
Hi, this is my first time breeding ball pythons so I need help.I live in Africa, so the breeding season is different.Am I right?Well, my bps are both wild and that might be surprising to you, but they are very tame.I started breeding in May and saw some locks. Now I think that she is building but im not sure.It has been almost 6 months now and I need to know if she is building.I will provide pictures another time. How long is it between first pairing and egg laying?I am dying to know!

Re: novice, need breeding help
Hi,
Well the first thing is to get them hosted somewhere online.
You can put them in your gallery here - this tutorial is a bit old but the basic procedure is the same I think.
And here is another one in video form that might also help.
You can also use a site like http://photobucket.com/
They should also have tutorials to help you.
If you still have trouble just ask any member of staff and we will do our best to get you sorted.

Re: novice, need breeding help
Hi,
And on your original question....
There is no set timeframe from locks to eggs I'm afraid - it all depends on the female.
This video is really good at showing how to feel for follicles - that can give you an idea of how things are progressing.
And this web page is great for knowing what the steps are.

Best of luck.

Re: novice, need breeding help
No, I didn't catch it but they both come from Guinea, the country I live in.When I got the one, he was a baby, when I got the second one she was an adult. and now she is very tame.
when i got them, both at different time, they where both unhealthy.but now they are in top shape.
I dont know what morph my male is, he might be a normal but he has an upside down Y on his lips.My normal girl does not have that at all.
so as soon as I get my pics on I'll show them to you(since I haven't been able to)
