Good first morph to start with

I have been scouring fauna like no ones business for local breeders and I have a few options here and I like all of them. Here are my choices.
Male pastel $75
Male spider $100
female pastel $150
female spider $150
Het albino female $100

I am thinking of getting a visual as I know what I am getting and with a het with no paperwork I run the risk of getting burnt. I think a female is gonna be the way to go. If I decide to breed in a few years I will already have a visual female that's up to size.

The spiders look alot cleaner then the pastel females, the pastel male is beautiful but that isn't helping me any if I want to breed later as I will still need to get a full grown female. What do you think I should do here as getting my first morph?

That's a tricky question for folks to answer without knowing what you might like to breed in the future.

I agree having a breeding sized morph female is good but if that morph doesn't make anything you like it's not as good as it could be.

All my local deals fell thru, I think I am gonna stick it out 2 weeks and wait for the show. I will buy a female first and I am thinking pastel first. That way I can get a male spider later, go for bumble bee then get super pastels, bumble bees and killer bees.

I agree with getting a female first if you're thinking about breeding. remember, 2 to 3 years down the road when she gets to breeding size, a single gene morph is going to be down in price and what she makes will be too. that's why members answers these type of questions with, get what catches your eye. get something you like, don't get one just for the money to be made. hope this helps a little, don

Get a female in whatever morph you like! Males are easy to get and much cheaper. You need to get something that catches your eye as you will have to raise her for a couple years plus if you like her then there will be others that like her babies! Get the best quality you can afford!

I hear ya guys, my budget is a bit thin but I should be able to get something nice looking. More then likely a female pastel but alot of them I am seeing look really dirty already and they were born in 2010. Gotta find a good pastel line

A good pastel is a must!!! You will have a hard time selling lower quality pastels! It is worth the money!
