How much is a typicall vet checkup for a snake?

How much is the usuall checkup? Also, how much would it be for a vet to probe 2 of my snakes?

I'm just asking for an estimate.

Expect to pay anywhere from $40 to $90 just for the office visit itself. Then plan on paying possibly $30-$50 for them to sex/probe your snake. I would go with expecting to pay anywhere from $100-200 for the visit.

Then again you might have an amazing vet like me who will do it all for free

    It depends on the vet.

My local vet which I havent needed to go to get is $55 a snake, for a normal check-up. I've heard of vets charging nothing for sexing, and as much as $75-$85 for sexing.

I pay anywhere from $48 - $68 depending on the weight...But they won't do sexing...If they aren't comfortable probing or popping some vets won't do that even if you pay them...

Here, over $200 dollars and they can't tell you anything.

I dislike Fairbanks, Alaska because we have no vets that treat anything other than dogs and cats, and some small mammals.

I suppose it depends on where you are located. Here it only costs me $30 to get in and $15 for a check up and my vet is really good.

My vet is $77 office visit but he probes and does fecals for free. I think the most important part is if he is a good reptile vet. I would pay more to ensure I have the top notch vet that knows what he is doing. Talk to reptile owners around you and ask who they are going to. Also if you have any breeders...they typically know THE best vet in town.

I usually pay maybe $40 for the actual appointment, then another $40 for injections / meds, $70 for fecal exams, and our vet is certified to treat reptiles. I take my dog to the same clinic, and it seems to be about the same for her. When she was a new puppy we had a parvo scare (didn't actually end up being parvo, but it took intestinal swabs and x rays and blood tests to figure out what actually was wrong with her), and ended up paying close to $1,000 throughout that week for all the tests and treatments. It seems like a lot, but health is invaluable, and if you think about it, human health conditions are usually much more costly.

It really depends on your area and vet. Over here my vet charges $85 just for the checkup. But it is a one-time fee for the animal. About 45 minutes away they charge $65 for a checkup.

Sexing can be anywhere from free or up to $60 I've heard...
