    Brown Snake (Formerly Dekay's Snake) Storeria dekayi. There are two subspecies, Northern and Midland, but they do intergrade . Nice little critters too.

    I was just going to say that.

    It's not a baby, that is an adult Dekayi Brown snake (Storeria Dekayi)

    primary diet is earthworms and garden slugs/snails.
