    also tegus go through a "nasty" stage. When they hit their adolencent age and want to mate...are getting their jowls...they can be downright terds!! A tegu that is about 3 feet throwing a tee tee can be a little disconcerting.

    I so agree with the poster above...get yourself a beardie...if that goes well....get yourself an iggy....if that goes well then move forward. But make sure you have the room to have a massive cage as that is what they need!!!

    I know it sounds funny, but I'd say a Tegu is a bit easier to care for than a Iguana. I'm not even sure I'm ready for an Iguana.
