Moving in 1 month, whats the best way to move my snakes??

so im going be moving to a different apt, and was wondering how i should move them. i was thinking throwing a towel over the tanks then just moving the tank to the truck and to the new place. or should i take them out of their tanks and into a box to move them?

When I move I always take them out of the tanks and put them in a snake sack or pillow cases. Then in a box in the front of the car. I dont want any drastic temp changes. THe reason to pull them out is what could happen if a tank breaks and they are inside.

Yeah i put mine in a small 12 qt or 6 qt rubber tub, or a pillow sack and keep them all up front with either heat on or a breeze depending on temperature. Leaving them in the enclosure could injure them if your in a wreck, or could cause them to bounce around on the road.

Why are pillowcases or bags used so often?

it a breathable fabric , the tanks could over heat if the sun shines on them any tlenght of time,( causing a baked snake) as well as other possible issues. in a wreck or somethign the tank will offer less protection as it can be busted apart or run over the pillow case in the car can be grabbed if th need to exit the vechile aspa in needed.

I recently moved with over 60 animals and the least stressful way in my opinion is to use snake bags or pillow case that you place in a styrofoam cooler or in a insulated box.

It will cost you very little, will keep the stress to a minimum, will ensure that they are secure and will keep them at proper temps.
