Will she be up to weight on time?

My biggest female is currently at 1097 grams empty and eating a roughly 120 gram rat every 10 days. Do you think she will be up to weight in time to breed next season or should I wait another year?

I've tried feeding her more frequently but she won't take. After trial and error I've found the most frequently she'll eat is about every 10 days. I'm not sure how old she is, I got her at about 800 grams and she went off feed for a month.

Here's she is the night I brought her home just sitting in a spare tank while I finished getting hers ready. Like I said I weighed her that night at right around 800 grams. Looking back over the e-mails from the woman I got her in the trade from she'd been feeding them every 2 weeks (or if they decided not to eat that meal, once a month).

As long as your husbandry is correct, try giving her a 60g rat instead of a 120g rat, every 5-7 days.

I'll try doing that again. I tried the smaller rat for a couple feedings but she's a bit of a picky eater and won't take another meal unless she is completely empty . All else fails I'll wait an extra year unless all of a sudden she decides to be a piggy as she's getting to be slighty less picky the longer I have her. Thanks for all your advice. I'm still holding out some hope she'll really get into food like my male who FINALLY started eating has now remembered he likes food and gained almost 300 grams in a month.
