Need help! Dead mice

So, we had some mice die without us knowing. There were apparently too many in a container with too few holes. So now when we go to feed we find dead mice and they are sort of hard. It has been a little over an hour since we last saw them alive.

If they are hard can we still feed them? I don't know what to do. Please help.

Do you have any idea as far as how long they have been dead?
Because it is very important you freeze or feed the mice very soon after death so it doesnt rot. If they have been dead for more than a couple hours I wouldnt feed them because most likley they are rotten by now.

It's been under two hours. They don't seem rotted. Just a wee stiff. Fine to feed?

Im not saying don't feed the mice to the snake however I would be very weary because of the fact they have been dead for a semi prolonged time and them having rotted is in question. But I do know snakes stomachs are very strong. I wish I could give you better advice but i cant.

Thanks for your help. Only a few of my snakes are interested in eating dead. Which is a shame >.>

they stiff cause of rigger setting in. I prefer to feed the rodent while the still limp so they snakes can move it around as they eat. If it not too warm then you might be ok but if if above 60 or so I forget about it and toss them. Then set a male and about 4 females aside in a tank and let nature take it couse lol ( I got a new litter born right now about every other week, lol.. it rocks when not spending 50+ a week on rodents. lol
