    My first Crested Geckos

I went to the Wasatch Reptile Expo today and came home with a gorgeous pair of Crested Geckos. I have been wanting a pair of these guys for a while now, and since they were set at a price that I could not turn down, I went ahead and got them. They're now chilling in their new home, so it is going to be a very long two weeks before I can start to handle them.

    Hi,

Cute as a couple of buttons.

I like the heart shaped feeding dish - what are you planning diet wise for them?

They are very cute. As long as they are eating well you really only need to wait about a week before handling them. They aren't quite as delicate and stress prone as some other reptiles.

Thanks so much! I will be mixing a Crested Gecko Diet that I bought from Josh (the guy I got the Cresties from) with some blended bananas or peaches or pears, etc. Once that runs out (which he said it would last for at least a couple of months, since they are so small), I will be going with either the Repashy CGD, or something similar from Mazuri.

That just made my night. I am dying to handle these little cuties because they are so sweet and gentle. But I definitely don't want to stress them out. I caught Kika licking from the food dish earlier today, so hopefully Moko will follow her lead. lol!
