do you drop temp for breeding or dont?

Its my first year breeding and just wanted to get an idea of how many people drop there temp or don't. Don't know which way to take since I don't have a good thermastat to do it automaticly. Thanks

I do use a cold down 4 my breedings

The hot spot temp is dropped by 10 degrees at night (cool side remain at 76/78)

I did for the first two years, but this year I didn't, and my results were as good or better...so why stress the animals by dropping temps, when it's clearly unnecessary? I believe that the light cycle alone is enough to trigger breeding. The spikes in humidity and barometric pressure changes that come with autumn and spring storms also seem to play a role.

I have actually decided to drop mine. Only at night though.
Day time: 92 hot / 81 cool (10 hours)
Night time: 84 hot / 78 cool (14 hours)

If my cool side is dropping below 75-76 I will raise the temps up. I don't want an RI

This year im going to try cooling for first time. And room temp stays at 80 and hot side is down to 85 at night and back to 91 in day.

Ok well since it pretty much 50/50 on it I decidedto not drop since I don't have a therostat that can do the automatic drop. Good news is yesterday morning I started pairing and no locks yet but the males were in positionto breed. Lol they are almost there. Thanks for the input every one

This is only my second year breeding but last year two out of the three females I bred laid eggs no slugs no problems and I did not drop the temps at all. So I plan to try the same thing this year.

Is the reason for dropping temps more to get the females to ovulate? Or is it more to get them all in the mood for love...
