    Help with cresty tubs.

I'm following Kaorte's sticky on how to make tubs for cresties, and its going REALLY good so far. Despite of having to redo them for finding taller tubs, and breaking several.

But anyways. I have lots of plants, I'm adding some bamboo stakes for high perches, and I'm getting some rocks to put in soon.

I was wondering though, apparently some geckos can not climb on the plastic. I found some Duck Super Grip Easy Liner, and was wondering if I would be able to use this in the tubs on either side for climbing.

The only caution I'm seeing on the label is "Product may stain lacquer or polyurethane surfaces."

Can anybody help me out? Or can I find something better to use?

If you give them enough to climb on in the cage it won't really matter so much if they can't climb the plastic. If you do use something on the sides of the cage just make sure not to use any sort of tape to attach it or anything that the geckos could get stuck or caught up in. Also be careful of using rocks--I know some people do with no problems, but my concern is that the gecko might jump or fall and a rock is a really hard thing to land on.

I do have lots for them to climb on, but I just would like them to have the option of climbing the sides if they wish. I know, I'm picky. I wouldn't be using tape at all. After what I've seen balls and a leopard gecko do with tape (Not mine personally), I will never use tape in herp enclosures.

The stuff I'm talking about have these TINY square holes. I can fit tiny twist ties through them. So I was going to solder little holes into the sides of the tub and tie the twist ties tight through them to support the layer of the grip.

Twist ties would work well. Let us know how it works if you end up using it--I've never seem anyone do anything like that before.
