    Shipping BP's

I might be purchasing a small collection from a member on here, but he lives in Texas and is going to need to ship. I have never had any kind of reptile shipped to me, so I have no idea how any of this works. Also, he wants to use Delta Dash which I have never heard of. So here are my ?'s

1: Is delta dash cheaper then Fed-Ex Certified? I was under the impression that was the main method of shipping reptiles.

2: Is there anything I need to setup on my part for both delta dash and fed-ex?

3: How much should it cost approximately to ship 3 breeder girls at around 2300 grams, 2 at around 1200 grams, 1 at 500 grams, and one at 800 grams? I just need some kind of ball park figure to get an idea. Sorry if this sounds stupid, but again I have never used shipping for a reptile. Thanks for your all your help in advance!

    Re: Shipping BP's

Delta is generally more expensive, and is airport-to-airport. Some people use it with frequency, a lot of people reserve it for the big snakes and the venomous. With that many big girls, the cost difference may be minimal, but its really difficult to say.

Estimating cost is also very difficult, it depends a lot on how many different packages the seller divides it into. I'd guess at least three, but that is really at yours and the seller's discretion.

Your best place for estimates, is straight from the seller.

The best part of Delta Dash is that it is same day.. I had a huge group sent to me they left MD at like 11:00 am on a Tuesday and I picked them up at 5:30 that same day.. there is a flat rate based on the weight of the box so anything like 150lbs ( I think) or less is the same cost..

    Re: Shipping BP's

Is the person in question certified?

Because if they are not regardless of whether they chose Fedex or Delta Dash they will need to get certified before being able to ship the animals.
