    Different levels/ grades of Lucys?

I recently had someone tell me about 3 types or grades of lucys you can produce. Which I had never heard before. He said Lesser X Lesser make the best lucys, Lesser X Mojave make the 2nd best lucys, and Mojave X Mojave are the lowest grade(quality) of lucys.
What does he mean that one produces a better "lucy" than the other?
IF someone could explain that it would be great, considering I had never heard that before.

Well when you breed Lesser to Lesser you will have more of a pure white shade. When breeding Mojave to Mojave it will have more of a off white appearance if not cream tint to it. All Lucy's are good, but you just need to see pictures of them to really see the difference.

I've heard this as well, though I've also heard that many lesser/lesser lucies have slightly "bugged" eyes. For this reason alone, I'm planning to stick to lesser/mojave breedings as the lesser/mojave lucies look pretty darned white to me, and I don't want a bug-eyed ball ... But it's all opinion tho

    Whitest of the White

Russo X Russo or Russo X Lesser/Butter makes the whitest of the white lucy.

super mojaves are call low grade because they tend to yellow out and have a head pattern, im sure you can search super mojave and find all sorts of pics.

    Lesser/Mojave

Some lesser mojaves have a yellow tint or still have head pattern like the one pictured above.

yes i guess some lesser/lesser get bugged eyes, donno about butter/butter or lesser/butter, i would expect them to tho.

super mochas (latte) seem to have some pattern, and ive herd some super vin russo lucys have some pattern, but ive never seen one...mayb its a rumor?

if you want pure white basically just don't use mojave, lesser/butter/russo/mocha/mystic/phantom x lesser/butter = pure white

Re: Different levels/ grades of Lucys?

We own Super Mojaves, Lesser/Mojaves and White Diamonds and I can tell you that out of those the Lesser/Mojave is WHITEST! The White Diamond (Het Russo X Het Russo) is not the whitest snakes out there it has a lot of pattern down it's back and the Super Mojave is not pure white either but it's one of my favorite white snakes.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Hopefully those pictures can help a little.
