Reptile Expo & New Boa! (8 Pictures)

Well, this show wasn't as big as it used to be, unfortunately. There wasn't a very big selection, but I found a nice female BCI. There were a lot of ball pythons and corn snakes there.

Click on an image to view it on Flickr and then view the larger picture!

    Table of ball pythons

    Obligatory albino ball picture

    Cool green tree python

    New boa!

Same as previous except better lighting but unfocused head

    I like her tail

She didn't want to go into the tub

    Somewhat relaxed

Males don't get quite as large. I was hoping to find a male BCI but surprisingly enough, the only ones there were either sub-adults ($150+) or dwarf localities that I didn't really want and were more expensive. This girl was priced just right at $45.

Thanks, and I hear you about the Hogg Island Boas. To give you an idea of how small this expo was this year, there was one Hogg there. One. And only three or four vendors even had boas.

What a little cutie. Reminds me of when Diablo was that little. They grow so fast. Congrats on the pickup!

Thanks and yeah, on one hand, I look forward to her getting bigger, but on the other hand, that means I gotta buy a big Boaphile cage

Small update: She ate her first mouse today! Took a little bit of coaxing by shaking the mouse a little with forceps, but she got the message pretty quickly. The mouse was probably on the tail end (ha, ha) of the biggest size mouse she could handle—an adult mouse from Petco that probably weighed 20+ grams. Didn't get any pictures/video but it's good to know she'll eat!
