Display fridge vs Conventional for an incubator?

Would it be better for me to just use a conventional fridge for incubation or like a display fridge with a glass front? Does light interfere with the process at all?

I have an upright freezer for an incubator, works well. I'm replacing it with a large coke cooler with the glass door that's swings open not the one thats slides. I known a few breeders that uses the coolers with the glass doors and they all like them.

I have a glass front beverage fridge Im actually bout to finish mine tomorrow. I like it.

I haven't built one myself yet but when i do im going on craigslist and buying a used wine cooler if seen tons for under $50 on craigslist in my area. I like the idea of being able to see everything like the temps and what the eggs look like without opening the door and loosing heat.

I was just looking yesterday! I almost struck gold. Someone had a large wine cooler that didn't work. It was free for someone to pickup, but they live quite a ways away.

I'm also contemplating on calling a restaurant supply company to ask if they have any of those small under cabinet glass front fridge units that don't run. I'll also ask them who repairs them. I'd ideally like to find one of those because they are pretty deep and very well insulated.

Even with the glass front you still open it and check stuff out, as long as you use plenty of water bottles in the bottom it's not an issue.
I can hold mine open for several minutes and not have it drop more than 1 degree and that recovers to full temperature within 5 minutes.

True brand commercial coolers are awesome for incubators

Solid doors are better for temps but with the glass you can check out what is going on! I made one out of a bar fridge but it might be nice to see in it!
