    Talking This is so exciting!

I'm a first time breeder and am just tickled to experience all of this taking place! I have had quite a few locks this year already (starting in September) and every one makes me smile! I can't even imagine the excitement that comes with eggs and babies!!!

With Excitement also comes the agonizing 2 month wait for the eggs to hatch. That's one of the reasons i really reduced my collection and will only be breeding 1 pair come the time they are ready. Good luck with your breeding!

Sounds like a good reason to expand a collection to me. That way you'll have several clutches hatching at different times so it won't seem so painful waiting for that one clutch to hatch!

    Re: This is so exciting!

This was my first season too. It was great because it was unexpected. I gave up on my girl being prego. She laid 3 eggs in July. They all hatched last weekend. I got 2 bees and 1 normal. Amazing odds. To watch their little heads poke out was a rush. Can't wait to watch them grow. Its an awesome feeling. Good luck to you.

    XD
Be prepared, though--the excitement comes with agony, especially during the wait.
My brother's fiancee is about 5-6 months preggy, and the excitement is still there, but now it's becoming anxiety, impatience, and urgency. XD
So I'd imagine it would be the same with snakes.
    Best of luck!

That's awesome! I'm nothing but excited! Seeing their heads poke out has to be the most incredible thing ever! I don't see how anyone can say it's "agony"? Thanks for the good words CeeJay!

Not agony like you're thinking--simply "agony" as in you're so excited you CAN'T WAIT a single minute longer!
