Theres quite a few bad factors here.
They could fight, and one could end up dead. I'm also pretty sure kingsnakes are known for eating other snakes, although I'm not 100% sure.
They are completely different snakes.
Different husbandry requirements.
Besides a few species of snakes that do better in pairs or trios, housing 2 snakes in one enclosure should not be done (I've read a thread on here about somebody housing pairs and trios of certain species of snakes together, and never having a problem, and the snakes were actually better off)
And how you said about both of the snakes striking the same prey item, you should be feeding in separate containers, if you choose to continue housing the snakes together.
There are other factors involving sicknesses. If one snake was sick before you put it in with the other, now you have 2 sick snakes, and a large vet bill.
