It's not a trick question, I'm just looking for alittle help....
I've never really heard the term 'black belly', but having coloration like that on the belly isn't by any means uncommon among normal ball pythons. Many visual morphs in fact have a tendency to clean up the belly quite a bit.
I'd say he's a good example of one. Look a how it's separated from the side flames...Is this a pet store find or show purchase?
This is something I produced with 14 others. This one is the best example.

I can find very little info on black bellies. Alittle talk in 2008 and thats about it. They are suppost to be half of what you need to make yellow jackets. I don't know what they are or not, so thats why I'm looking for some ideas.

I've got a girl here that I'll be breeding to my pastel this season who might be a black belly - hoping for some yellow jackets! I've not seen Ian's line of black bellies to do a comparison, so I can't say whether that one is or not (nor can I say if mine is or not).
