    what does this mean?

is it a good thing or just something like territorial?

i have been putting my male pastel in with my female norm and since i first introduced him i have found very small moist spots and tiny urates right on them and just now i was sitting out watching them interact and as he was starting to move towards her, she slithererd a little away and right under his nose she lifted her tail and let out a small amount a fluid with a tiny urate.

what does this mean? what is she doing? he smelled it and then went off to the hide.

is a mating thing or a get away from me thing?

if you couldn't tell this is my first time breeding BP's.
i've breed lovebirds and cockateils and red eared sliders but never BP's so their mating rituals are new to me. any input or thoughts as to whats going on would be helpful.

Maybe its a scent thing, I don't know, but it happened every time I paired my male and female together. Very messy.

    LOL Freakie_frog

    She's scenting the tub.
It's a pretty sweet site to watch the tail wagging and scenting.
My females are generally locked up not too long after trying to "attract" the male.
