I haven't ever had problems with baby boas. I keep the t-stat set at 90F on the tape and the rest of the tub stays approximately 80F. They each get a small water bowl in their tub and I keep them on paper towels at that size.

I haven't ever had a problem setting them up like that.

For their first few feedings they get day old live pinkies. I usually just put the pink in right in front of the baby boa and push the tub back into the rack. I will check back in a few hours to make sure that everything went as planned and most of the time they eat well.
