Would have waited until Daytona, but...
Couldn't pass up the deal.
Sub-adult female Dumeril's boa from Rick Krumrine Reptiles of PA. Feeding already on f/t, $125.
I was pretty excited!

Funny you say that. I wouldn't mind producing them either. But I have a buddy who has been trying for two years now. His female keeps slugging out... still borns.
I was reading that because of the CITES listing on Dum's, new ones are not allowed to be imported and it has created a population bottleneck. I am wondering if this could be the issue with my friend. I don't know if his snakes are related at all, but I think if I decide to try I will look for a male from a breeder that is not related to the stock my female came from, just to be safe.
Thanks for the compliments. They are my favorite boa species-- reasonable size, gorgeous, and calm.
