I am new here and a brand spanking new BP owner as well as I have just owned my BP's for a little over a month. I currently have 5 2010's and they were all feeding live when I got them. The first two feedings I fed them live and then the third feeding I purchased live and used it to prescent the room. I prescented for about an hour and a half. (just left the mice in a secure container with air holes in the room near their tubs) Then I defrosted frozen hopper mice and once defrosted I blasted the head with a hair dryer for about 30seconds. Each one of the five took the f/t. Some faster than others but they did all take it. I was totally elated. The next feeding I did the exact same thing and once again all of them took the f/t. Last night was the third feeding with f/t and this time I didn't buy any live but prescented the room by letting the mice defrost in the room right next to their tubs. About two hours this time. Blasted the mice again with a hair dryer and success again with all of them. Some I need to do more mouse dancing and others as soon as that tub opens there they are. I have read that the prescenting and the f/t to be pretty warm are the key. Again, I am new here and a new BP owner (not new to snakes, just BP's) but this is what has worked for me. I am sure more experienced members here will chime in. Good luck
