Re: New Codom/Dominant morph needs name

im pretty much useless at naming things too, but i was thinking Mono ball, cuz the sides remind of a mojo but they have some normal colors as well.

    Chris

I actually have a Male I held back that had the same "Belly Dancer" pattern and extreme blushing from his mother. They are actually locked up right now, so hopefully I will find out something from them this season.

I will send a pic if interested

That's really impressive! I surprisingly like it a lot, especially the white that's going up the sides. I'd maybe say to call it a Sidewall Ball?

atleast form the pictures, looks like he only hatched 3 or 4 of them, so if its a dominate gene, he had a good chance of missing the normal.

Codom chance of all 4 eggs being het: 6.25%
Dom chance of all 4 eggs being Het: 32%

Considering that people can breed double hets and get the double hom form of traits, that 6.25% isnt all that unobtainable. And hitting a 32% is so easy. So, yeah, it's entirely possible to not get a normal from breeding two dom/codom traits with only 4 eggs.

I'd really like to see that combined with a yellow-belly.
