    Bumblebee hatchlings are great eaters.

I hatched out 2 bumblebees just recently and it took them over 2 weeks after first shed before they ate their first rat. But ever since then, they are aggressive eaters! We feed rat fuzzy and their tails are too delicate for the tongs, so we feed off our fingers. You have to watch your finger with them because they'll snap the rat in the air off of your hand. Okay, so we've only fed them twice so far, but this is the same for both bees.

So, I was wondering if you guys' bees are your better feeders or if there's really no difference with other morphs.

I tried to do a poll but it didn't go to the part where I put the poll selections.
1.) The bees in my collection are one of my best eaters.
2.) The bees in my collection are statistically no different than my non-bees.
3.) The bees in my collection are poor eaters.
    4.) I'm not so sure.

my baby spider is a...well, enthusiastic eater. He does the same thing when he's hungry that you described...he'll go for fingers instead of mice if you're not carefull, and if you're in the room right after feeding time, he'll try to strike at you for a while even after he's eaten (2 mice...just so yall don't think he's starving or anything).

Good luck with them! Good sign that they're eating...I'm sure they'll calm down a bit when they get older.

My Pie is a complete pig, I can not let him even be around my normal that I house him with because he will take the normals food.

Of course the normal is not a big eater anyway but still.

And yea its out of my hand but he never gets close to touching me.

Some eat well right off the bat and others take their sweet time.
My baby black pastel female has eaten 5 times in less than a month and my other hatchlings have eaten 2 or 3 times in the same period.

I like this thread, Exsspecially if we can get some insight on some of the morph "personalitys". As for me my, bee is a very good eater, good hard strikes and never misses a meal and my most active ball, my pin is incredible, she never misses seconds much less firsts, she seems to enjoy being handled, played with, I have one normal that is prety picky , I think this has something to do with her "stunted" size she is 3 and only 650g, 2 other norms that eat well but nothing to special, I just got a baby lesser and she has eaten twice this week with much zeal, she also seems to be a little snappy,as she has tried to tag me twice already, hoping she just needs to settle in a bit more, or atleast grow out of it, but we will see.

I've got a question - why are you feeding off your fingers? Are these live? If they're live - just put them in the tub and let the snakes do their thing. If they're f/t, hold them between the shoulder blades with a pinch of the skin in the tongs.

LOL! We feed live. So, we prescent the room (put the rat house next to the snake tub), then we open the tub and take out the hides, the bee is instantly on alert, we pick up the rat and put it in the tub close to the snake and before we get a chance to "drop" the rat, the snake is already flying in the air to grab it. That's how crazy these guys are.

Completely opposite from the normal sibling who we had to shove a rat down his throat because he refused the assist feeding!
