Re: Flex watt shipping prices!!
Do you think being in Alaska has anything to do with it. I ordered from reptile basics 2 times and my shipping wasn't that bad

Re: Flex watt shipping prices!!
the thing is for that high shipping price you CAN order alot and the shipping never raises. So the other places are more for people buying for a rack system, 10+ foot, whereas the ebay store is for making up a 'bator really quick... i was also pretty po'ed when i first saw this.

I believe shipping goes by how far you are from them, and RB has no control over that. I'm in WV, and shipping has always been pretty cheap.

I don't know if being in Alaska has anything to do with it, I know heavier items cost more to get here, but that package would have hardly weighed anything.
When I ship my art work out to people in tubes that are 18" long, it costs less than $10.00 and I've shipped to New York before..

Yeah that's what I thought, I e-mailed them asking them how much it would cost to get it shipped here last week and they never contacted me back.
Here, this is my cart, I haven't bought anything but I did the estimate shipping and this is what I got...

Shipping goes by distance, dimensions, and weight. Yes the flexwatt isnt any weight at all but the box takes up space on the truck/plane for a very long distance which is why shipping is so much. Your best bet is to order multiple rolls so they fit into the same box and you can have the stuff around to use when needed. Dont get mad at me for saying this but if you dont like the rates some stores charge then dont buy from them. The world doesnt revolve around what you think is fair and venting to members here isnt going to change anything. It really just puts one more useless thread on the boards.

I've sent stuff out and gotten stuff from other people and companies. Regardless, I'm getting my flex watt off of ebay with the company incubaterwarehouse.com They have videos and everything of how to wire it and it looks easy enough. And shipping is only 5 dollars..
I went to other flex watt sellers like the bean farm and big apple herp and all of their shipping was also over $20!
Why are they over charging for shipping so much, flex watt hardly weighs anything! I could understand for over night, but this is snail mail...
Its because you are using their shopping cart and they figure you as next day air. Heck my cart would do the same. If you need something like that again, e-mail them or me direct and we or they can send it usps mail for cheeper.
