    Kipling (JCP) updated photos...

Kipling the (approx 8 month-old) JCP had a shed last weekend, so I decided to take some photos of him... I took him over to the door/window for some natural light, and he thought the blinds made a cool climbing vine! He's doing great btw, eating like a pig and growing nicely - still fairly skinny, but getting noticeably longer and brighter.

Really nice pics. He has a great pattern & the colors are nice & bright. He's really cute peeking through the blinds. Looks like he's gonna' turn into an awesome jcp.

Thanks! I thought nobody would ever reply to this thread, LOL.

When I got Kip they said he'd get more yellow with every shed, and I thought maybe they were full of it... but so far it seems to be true, and I can't wait to see him as an adult!

Gorgeous carpet! I hope to have one some day, when I have more cash to spend on snakes LOL. How are they tempermentwise?

Thanks! It really is hard to capture their colors on "film," especially when using a flash - it just washes them out completely. That's why I decided to head for the natural light, but the blinds & sunshine were too tempting for him.

Kipling says thank you. The general consensus on carpets is that they're often nippy babies, but mellow out with age and frequent handling. Mine will occasionally strike at the tub, if I wave my hand past unexpectedly... aside from that he's a sweetheart, and quite curious when you take him out. He'll stretch his skinny neck as FAR as he can, to get a whiff/look at whatever is outside the tub. Super cute little guy, and I can't wait until he's full grown!

P.S. They're also semi-arboreal snakes, so it's good to provide them with a climbing branch (or something like that). Kip has a branch in his tub, and spends probably 90% of his time on there!

Btw, can anyone here tell me if he looks like a "pure" jungle? When I got him they said he's possibly not, and could have some coastal or jaguar in him... he's my first & only carpet, so I have no idea!
