Rat Vs. Mouse size question.
I recently got a lesser BP, and he eats fuzzy rats, but around here all I can get are frozen mice I was wondering what mouse size is equivalent to the fuzzy rat. I'm thinking possibly a hopper?

Re: Rat Vs. Mouse size question.
Hopper, small mouse are the equivalent of a rat fuzzy a large mouse would be the equivalent of a rat pup.
If you switch make sure you switch in 2 steps.
Switching prey type can be tricky enough trying to switch prey type and to F/T could be very difficult.
Best is to get your BP to eat first than switch after a few successful meals.

The breeder gave me a feeder card and he has eaten nine times since he was hatched in May, so I think I should be able to start and try to switch him over. Thanks for the responses.

Very true, but I guess we'll never know until we try.

And some snakes are just bottomless pits, or at least are happy to eat any rodent of appropriate size
You never know until you try. Good luck.

woohoo! I just fed him a F/T hopper, almost zero zombie dance required. I literally opened the lid waved it near his face and down the hatch it went. So excited.
