    And just for reassurances, here's a pic of a pied I hatched last year who came out with his yolk unabsorbed. As you can see, he didn't absorb any of it.     I actually read your original thread, when I did a search on this issue... it made me feel a lot better, and I'm so glad your baby survived. Beautiful little guy!!

    Thank you! I caught the Mojave halfway out a little while ago, but he got scared and retreated back into the egg... that baby is driving me nuts. The one with yolk is doing well, though, and was cruising around his tub when I checked on him.
