    Masonreptiles MIA is back!

So I've been MIA for a while and now I'm back with full force! As some of you know there were some issues when we left our last house with a possible joining of the military and such but then we bought our own house and the wife ended up pregnant (she was the one looking into joining) Well work and all was going well and my breeding season was going well for a while and I had a good 29 eggs in the incubator. Then all hell broke loose. The wife was 7 and 1/2 months pregnant and we had a house fire. They're not sure how it started but it originated outdoors near our trashcan and they don't really know how but we ended up in a hotel for 1 and 1/2 months. When we had the fire things got a little crazy obviously and it didn't occur to me that the snakes/eggs were in any danger because they're in a separate building out in the backyard. Two days after the fire while I was there with the insurance agent he asked if there was any damage to the outbuilding and when I said no it occurred to me. Crap, the electricity had been cut to our house, and it was also powering my outbuilding. I quickly went out there and of course the electricity was out! The incubator had been off for two days. That night I went and got a generator and hooked everything up and while the snakes were fine, the 29 eggs, only 6 survived. I was really upset as my het x het piebald clutch died, as well as all but one of my het x het albino clutch died. Luckily over the next month or so I got 17 more eggs and all have done well. I still have a few waiting to hatch but some of what did have done well. I've gotten some spiders, cinnys, pastels, and 2 spider het albinos (although both males but hey better than nothing!) I'm back in action and pounding the food into the females to get them back up for this year. Now that everything has slowed down (as slow as they're going to get now that the wife has delivered and we're dealing with a 11 week old son and a 2 year 8 month old daughter me working a full time job, going to school full time, and dealing with a reptile and furniture moving business) I'll be back on the forums again!

I haven't listened to Reptile Radio in almost a year but I'm getting caught up now. I've got a delivery up to Washington DC on September 2nd and if I haven't caught up by then Ill be catching up with a 7 hour trip there and back! I hope all of you have been doing well and I'm glad I'm finally back. I'm also catching up on snake bytes. Almost everything I've had this year is sold/I'm holding back but I look forwards to buying from some of you, selling to you what I still have, and talking to you all!
