    Savannah Monitor adult enclosure?

Hey guys. I am interested in getting a Sav monitor (AFTER I get another snake )

I was wondering though, I heard the "rule" is for the enclosure for monitors to be twice the length and twice the width of the monitor

So does that mean 6 foot long by 2 - 3 foot wide?

Any info on the enclosure size for an adult sav is greatly appreciated

Generally 8x4x4 is considered minimum for this species but after keeping one in an enclosure that size Id say even that is too small.

I replied to your post on another forum, so I'll just say read all responses and listen carefully to the information provided.

Generally, listen to people who actually own monitors; such as Slayer and myself.

    Go big, or stay home.

Yeah I was terribly misinformed, I thought 6 x 2 x2 was big enough, I would never want to house an animal in an eclosure that is to small

Thanks for the information, As I state below I have decided against owning one for space purposes
