You might be able to take it back to Petsmart if you don't want a refund? I would call the manager and ask. You could also check local mom and pop type of pet stores and see if they would take it for free? You or your son would lose out on the money you invested in the snake but it would save you from raising up a snake if that is not what you wanted to do.

Hi, there is an idea i didn't think of thanks the suggestion. I will call the manager there and see if he would take it back. I am not so concerned with the investment as I am that it does not die. I am willing to part with it all if i know it will be taken care of. I am so angry with my son for doing that to this snake and the only thing that I take care of well is my aquarium. (well, I at least have some idea what I'm doing there.)

Good for you for trying to help this poor baby. I know of a Reptile Rescue here in Delaware that may be willing to take him. I have spoken with him at length and believe he is ligitimate. If you are interested and would be willing to travel somewhat to meet with him, pm me and I'll send you his contact info. Kudos to you again for trying to do the right thing for him/her!

No problem, just let me know if you are interested and I'll forward info. He's a really nice guy that just loves reptiles and was telling me all about the ones he currently has and some he recently adopted out, so I'm sure he'd help. He may even be willing to come to you, just not sure.
