if this is your first retic, and you dont know much about morphs, then IMO you either havent done your research or shouldnt get a tic. I dont know what snakes you have experience with, but the only thing ive come across that will prepare you for a tic would be a rock python, but even then thats a whole different type of attitude. My baby albino tiger like to chew on me more than my pitbull did when he was a puppy, and thats A LOT!

just cuz its a dwarf doesnt mean its not going to act like its 14+ ft cousin, and any snake over 4 ft is going to hurt when it tags you, take a good tag from a 7+ ft retic and your going to consider your own santiy.

Let us know what you have experience with, but IMHO you sound no where near ready for a tic.....dwarf, super dwarf or normal... they are all pistols that need to be worked with alot and tamed down but a knowledgeable handler

While it is true that I don't have much experience with large snakes and haven't done much research

While it is true that I don't have much experience with large snakes and haven't done much research, it is also true that I am not planning on getting one for at the very least 3-4 months. During that time I will be doing as much research as I can and will be trying to be around retics and other large snakes as much as possible.

Getting tagged is not a concern to me. It's nothing macho. I just think that when working with animals such as snakes that you shouldn't be handling them if you weren't prepared and able to accept getting tagged. A lot of the times you just have to bite the bullet.

As for experience, there is only one way to get experience, and we all know what that is. People on forums tend to forget that...

I completely understand that you do not know me, and are most likely concerned for the well being of the animal. No offense has been taken. I assure that I will not take on such a large responsibility without being prepared for it.

    Thank you for your concern
I'll push American, before I'll drive foreign.

Don't argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
