A Few Rat Breeding Questions

Id like to build a rat breeding rack. What size containers would be good to use? I was thinking around 28qt.

How long should i keep the male in with the females?

Is it ok to keep 2 females together all the time?

Keeping females together is always ok they help each other out with the babies. When the females are prego just take the male out.


The best tubs for breeding rats are the mortar tubs you can buy in home depot there awesome. $5 bucks for a big tub that is pretty strong.
