I'm so stoked right now. My hatchling Snow shed yesterday, so I figured I'd go ahead and offer the first meal tonight. At first, it wasn't interested and I thought to myself that I hope that doesn't mean it was going to be a problem feeder. I went ahead and brained the pink, then laid it against the inside corner of it's little sandwich container, closed the lid back up and left it alone for a couple of hours. When I went to check on it, it had eaten! I'm so excited....since this is the only egg that actually hatched from Apopha's first clutch.

I've been handling it regularly for about 10-15 minutes every day and it has stopped striking at me. Occasionally it will still rattle it's tail (which is the cutest thing ever!), but it quickly stops once I have it in my hand and allowing it to explore. So....with this victory, I can hardly wait for Apopha's second clutch to hatch. Late September/early October can't get here soon enough for me.

So, I'll let my new little Snow settle to its meal for a couple of days and then try to take another picture or two. When I manage that, I'll post it up. I was just so excited about it eating that I had to say something. lol!
