Day 60 today! I decided to cut...

Ok so Im new here, but not new to Balls, although I am new to breeding them and all the morphs out there. I have had JR (my male) for 18 years now and he is a normal. I have had Sammy (my girl) for a year now and she is a very light honey color (not sure what she is, I'll post some pics. Anyway today is day 60 of their clutch of 9 and I got too impatient to wait any longer, so I cut. I incubated at 89 degrees constant the whole way through, except for the times I opened the lids to peak inside, obviously. I read everywhere that they hatch at this temp from 52-60 days and since today is 60, I couldnt wait any longer. So since Im so new to this, I had a few questions. The cutting went fine, don't worry no one got hurt. But I was wondering how much goup is normal? Are there still supposed to be lots of red live viens still in there? Ill post pics of this too. Just an advice or a good job would make me feel better lol I cut them at noon today and no one has poked their heads out yet. I know they are all alive cause they move when you touch them. I just dont know how long its supposed to take before they decide they want to say hi. Any advice?

See the color difference in them? Any idea what she might be or if she is just a light normal?

You did a great cutting job. Very nice. I only have one clutch under my belt but I'm pretty sure those red veins are normal.

Can't help you with the morph question. I only know pastel and spiders. lol. I don't think it's a pastel because pastels have lighter eyes (greenish looking).

Look just like mine did, when I cut them the other day... one is fully out now, and the rest are on their way. So at least from my limited experience, yours look perfectly normal!

Oh, and to answer your question about the mom... she looks similar to one of my girls, whom I refer to as a "light normal." So I'm not sure she's anything but a normal, but definitely a neat looking one! Should be interesting to see how the babies look when they're out.

1. The eggs look alright. The average is 52-60 days, they take as long as they want though.

Yes these 4 are all housed together. Have been for quite a while now. Never had any problems with it and they all get along great and love to snuggle

From what Ive been told, "snuggling" actually means they are having to compete for the same resource (heat, hide...). Cute babies though.

The eggs look great! You did a really good job with your cutting. The red veins are normal and even after the babies emerge there will be some "clear goop" (albumin) in the eggs. Don't worry about the babies coming out. They will when they are ready. Most the time when I cut they will pop their heads out the next day or the day after. If you look in and you see incubation medium on the top of the eggs but no sign of the babies poking their heads out. Rest assured they have come at least partially out of the egg and gone back in. They will also "hide" from you in their eggs a lot of the time when you open the incubator door or take the lid off of the eggs box.

Thank you the two small ones were rescues, not my actual babies, but I love em just the same.

As far as the competing thing goes, I don't really think that's it. Purely because they all have their own hide and several heat spots. They come out and roam together and when they are done, snuggle together. My tank mostly stays an ambient 88 degrees, so I know they aren't cold. And if I pull them all out, they still try to stay together. I think its love
