    new housing question

i have 3 females all about at the 2ft length
right now they are in a tank but i want to switch to a rack
currently cannot afford a premade rack tho so i figured i would just
start and buy the 3 tubs i need and just have them stack on each other
for now my question is whats the best layout for a tub and also what kind of heat should i use? i know the rack will come with flexwatt tape but can i apply that directly to the bottom of a tub since im forgoing the shelving part for now
or can i use uth stuck to the bottom? thanks for all the help

    Re: new housing question

when you asked "whats the best layout for a tub", all i could think was, in a rack lol. why not spend the extra 30 dollars and make your own rack, your going to buy everything else but the wood anyways.

but if not, you can use flexwatt...it is a uth

    Re: new housing question

i meant on the inside like one hide or two etc lol!

i might try to build my own but im not the best at carpentry based crafts haha
i figured the tubs would be fine stacked on each other but i didnt know if putting the flexwatt directly on the tubs would melt anything haha and i have zoo med uths on my tanks so it would be good if i could recycle them

    Re: new housing question

ohh... lol, i use no hides, do what you want

flexwatt is exactly the same thing as any other uth, just not as pretty. regulate it, it won't melt anything. reuse your zoo meds if you already have em. just make sure you regulate them
