New female blood! with a health question

Just picked up a new blood python not even an hour ago. With further examination I have noticed that one of her nostrils are closed shut and some of her scales under her chin have a yellow coloring on them, the yellow scales almost look trusted on? I was wondering if any of you guys have had the same problem? Is it something I should worry about or is it just bad husbandry on the breeders side? The animal is too small to capture the problem. I'm not an expert with bloods you may have to wait for somone else to help you. He may have had a bad shed that caused the shed to go into his nostrils, you may want to give him a nice soak, but remember i'm not an expert with bloods.

A soak sounds like a great idea im going to try that, it is very possible she had a bad shed also.. Only time will tell keeping her on strict quarantine until i know shes 100% healthy Just snapped a quick pick of her

Bloods are notorious for bad sheds even if it is not their fault. They need large water dishes and as they get to big for reasonable sized water dishes they may need to soak in the bath tub 2 or more times a week or more during shed. They need a humidity above 70% on regular days and 80% or better when shedding. In the wild they live near bodies of water they can enter and soak in regularly, but in captivity it is hard to get a water dish that is big enough for a 5'+ long snake that is thick to soak in. The humidity tends to be an issue due to the fact that if you keep a room at that humidity anything in the room will start to grow mold. (Already had to gut my old snake room because of it.) Now the snake room has Green board and mold resistant paint. Also all the electrical outlets have a little extra waterproofing.

you know what kind of blood that is in that pick which local or color morph been trying to figure out what kind mine is but pet shop it was gottan from didn't know. but point being ming looks just like yours same colors and all

mine hardly ever soaks and only had 1 bad shed and i dont keep high humidity but i do spray her down daily usually 2 or 3 times a day
